Sergei & Tasha by Ben Beck — Wednesday, October 1 • 7:00 pm

A darkly comic fable of mad science and radical empathy. A reclusive doctor, a very alive talking dog’s head sustained by his machinery, and a tender, unsettling question: What makes a life worthy of love?

Vibe check: surreal humor • magical realism • “I can’t believe I care this much.”

Content advisory: implied animal experimentation and body-horror imagery (non-graphic); ethical distress; brief intense emotion.

Options by Christopher Bowen — Wednesday, October 8 • 7:00 pm

An intimate, present-tense moral reckoning inside a bedroom at night. An “angel” deadline forces a long-married couple to confront a truth they’ve kept in the dark for decades.

Vibe check: 2 a.m. confession • memory under a microscope • love meets accountability.

Content advisory: references to sexual assault (not depicted), end-of-life themes, intense marital conflict.

Spirit/Song by David Bareford — Wednesday, October 15 • 7:00 pm

A coastal gothic haunting where grief refuses to keep to one century. A Washington lighthouse becomes a conduit between 1875 and 2025, with Chopin-tinted piano lines riding the wind. Think Stephen King atmosphere with the yearning of The Lake House.

Vibe check: uncanny romance • fog, tide, and time-slips • history won’t stay quiet.

Content advisory: bereavement and isolation; period prejudice/xenophobia; occult/spiritual themes; brief moments of fear.
