Accessibility at Murphys Creek Theatre

Murphys Creek Theatre strives to make professional theatre accessible to everyone.

As a small theatre in a historic building, we approach accessibility through flexibility, communication, and care. We recognize that every patron’s needs are different, and we encourage guests to contact us with questions before their visit whenever possible.

Our Space

Our venue currently includes:

  • Accessible parking

  • A ramped entrance located on the south side of the building

  • Wheelchair-accessible seating in both the front and rear sections of the theatre

  • Companion seating available directly next to wheelchair-accessible seating

  • Accessible restrooms

Please note:

  • Most fixed seating is on a rake (sloped floor)

  • Stage access is currently not wheelchair accessible

Accommodations & Access

Depending on the production and available resources, accommodations may include:

  • Assistance with seating related to mobility, visibility, or hearing needs

  • Large-print or digital program materials

  • Advance access to scripts, projected text, or other visual content when applicable

  • Assistance with seating for patrons attending with service animals

Our lobby typically opens one hour before showtime, and seating begins approximately 30 minutes before the performance. Because the lobby can become crowded shortly before performances, we recommend arriving early whenever possible for a more comfortable arrival experience.
