Host a Visiting Artist
MCT often brings in professional visiting artists from out of town, and local volunteer hosts make that possible by offering a comfortable place to stay during rehearsals and performances.
What hosts typically provide:
A private bedroom
Access to shared bathroom and kitchen
A safe, welcoming home environment
Optional: occasional access to a car or bike
Time commitment: usually 6-8 weeks

Ways to Help:
Set Building – Help construct and paint the scenery that brings our productions to life.
Set Strike – After the final performance, help the crew safely take down the set.
General Production Help – Lend a hand with props, setup, and other behind-the-scenes tasks.

Our ushers help create the warm, welcoming experience Murphys Creek Theatre is known for.
Usher Responsibilities
Greeting Guests – Welcome patrons as they arrive.
Ticket Scanning – Check and scan tickets at the door.
Seating Assistance – Help guests find their seats.
Audience Support – Answer basic questions and assist during seating.
Once the show begins and your duties are complete, you’re invited to enjoy the performance.
