An English noble and a common soldier. One actor, two different worlds. Requires clarity, grounded presence, and the ability to shift between command and candor.
CANTERBURY / CONSTABLE
A powerful member of the clergy who helps launch a war, and a French commander determined to finish one. Strong text handling and authority are key.
MONTJOY / BATES / GREY
A French herald, an English soldier, and a condemned traitor. A versatile track requiring precision, intelligence, and flexibility.
BARDOLPH / KING OF FRANCE
A fallen companion from Henry’s old life and the aging monarch across the battlefield. A rich contrast between low comic humanity and royal weight.
PISTOL / BURGUNDY
A thief and volatile soldier (former companion of Prince Hal), and a French nobleman of diplomacy. A strong transformation track for an actor with range and appetite for language.
NYM / ALICE / ORLÉANS
A dry, dangerous soldier (former companion of Prince Hal), Katherine’s attendant and language guide, and a French nobleman in the war council. Requires agility and distinct character work.
BOY / KATHERINE / DAUPHIN
One of the most dynamic tracks in the production: innocence, royalty, and swagger. Requires emotional clarity, vocal dexterity, and sharp shifts in status and energy.
